On Jeans.

Today I'm wearing a pair of size 12 jeans from Old Navy.

Now, this is great.  I haven't worn a pair of size 12s since middle school.  But here's a list of other jeans I fit into comfortably right now:

Gap Curvy - 14
Gap Bootcut - 16 Petite
AE Flare - 16

I know jean sizing is BS - this totally proves it.  FLEH!  I do have to say that the size 12s are the same style as the jeans I've been wearing since before weight loss.  When I started, I was a 18, so this marks my third pants size.  :)

In other news, I enjoyed lunch out at the new Tom Douglas restaurant - Seatown Snackbar.  I went to the 'takeaway sandwich' counter on my way back from a yarn store errand, and got a Roasted Lamb, Falafel, Roasted Tomato and Feta cheese sandwich.  I got it back to my desk, had a bite of the bread, then promptly inhaled the innards.

Perhaps not the best idea when you're trying to break in new jeans.  WHOOPS.  But it was so amazing.  If you are ever in Seattle, I highly recommend eating out a TD restaurant.  You won't regret it.  (Especially brunch at Lola.  Dear GOD I wanted to roll around in the vanilla marscapone)

  2. I was wearing my size 12 Old Navy today...so true about the sizing. I think I have 14's curvy fit from Gap too...love them. I need a new pair though. Oh jean shopping...not on my list of faves right now. One day maybe...I hope.

  3. I totally know what you mean by sizes being all over the place. I can fit into a 9 in some junior stores and other times I'm a 12 in women's. It's odd and so not good for the ego in the dressing room.
