What a good weekend! I worked from home on Friday - which allowed me to do a Target run & get a pedicure. Both activities lifted my funk once and for all. I got home from Target & filled up JJ's kiddy pool.
There are few things in life better than hanging out with your dog on a nice 80 degree day with your feets in the kiddy pool.
Saturday held my weekly 90-mile round trip drive to see my dad on Saturday morning, a Big-Lebowski themed surprise birthday party for a good friend (including bowling alley food!), and another 50 mile one-way drive to my in-law's house. I squeezed in a run, healthy lunch (giant salad!) and more kiddy pool time in there as well.
Sunday was the Mariner's game with M & the in-laws. They live in the boonies, so we drove to the Tukwila Light Rail station (35 miles) and then took light rail into Seattle. We then repeated the same trip back - making a 3:45 hour long baseball game equal 7 hours including transit times. We ran around in the backyard w/ JJ for a while and had a light dinner before finally returning to Seattle around 11:30 last night.
Even through all of the craziness, I maintained my calorie limits both days. I made some not-so-healthy choices (hot dog & beer at the game!) but dutifully tracked those calories and ran my little heart out last night.
JJ is staying with the in-laws this week, so I will have a bit more time to work out & grocery shop this week. Wheeee! This will be a good week.
WOW! Good job sticking to your limits, even with all the events!
