OH Lord, I forgot how crazy the Holidays can be. Admittedly, I tried to stay off the radar last weekend during Thanksgiving - but this week has just FLOWN by.
I'm back to running and cross-training. The dog & cat are with Grandma this week, so I've been watching lots of bad TV while on the treadmill at night.
Kerrie & I started kicking around the idea of a cross-training challenge instead of a weight or mile based challenge. December's hard for most everyone - between the weather and the food, it's easy to get distracted. Often throughout our summer training schedules we lose sight of cross-training and how beneficial it is...hence the birth of the cross-training challenge! Easy enough to do in your living room - with no special equipment needed!
The Basics:
Commit to a certain number of Squats, Lunges, Situps (Crunches), and an arm exercise for the month of December. I calculated my reps # by taking my daily reps, mulitplying by 3 (for 3 days a week), and then adding up the weeks between now & the end of the month.
Kerrie & I are leaving the arm exercise up to you - I'll be doing a mix of Push-Ups, Dips, and Pullovers.
Want in? Leave a comment here with your numbers - or simply just go add yourself to the spreadsheet! The spreadsheet has an extra sheet with the weeks in it that will calculate your total goal rep #. As you enter in your weekly totals, a column will update with your 'To Go' number.
YAY FOR CHALLENGES!
Yay! Thanks for organizing!
